ABLE Services
Through its litigation and advocacy programs, ABLE promotes systemic change that primarily benefit large groups of low-income people in the areas of civil rights and poverty law. The Special Litigation and Support Unit (SLSU) and the Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program provide specialized assistance, including representation for the disabled, advocacy for long-term care residents, and litigation in public policy cases. ABLE serves 32 counties of western Ohio from its offices in Dayton and Toledo, Ohio.

The Special Litigation and Support Unit (SLSU) works on legal problems that affect large groups of low-income people. Successful case outcomes bring about permanent changes in services, systems and institutions that ultimately benefit hundreds or even thousands of individuals and families.

Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
The Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program advocates for the rights of people who receive long-term care services in nursing homes, adult care facilities or through in-home care programs.
